About Us

Littleton Sailing Club enjoys exclusive use of a picturesque lake of some 80 acres between Shepperton and Chertsey in Surrey.

There are about 500 members in total. Littleton Sailing Club was officially opened in June 1958, as a Division of the Civil Service Sailing Association, and their first dinghy club.

Membership is no longer restricted to civil servants or public sector employees past and present, however if you are a member of the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) you can enjoy discounted membership.

There is club racing at weekends throughout the year and on Thursday evenings during the summer months. Members can also cruise, or take part in our informally run improver sessions on Wednesday evenings during the summer. Adopted dinghy classes are Solos, Lasers, Optimists and sailboards. Stand up paddleboarding and windsurfing are permitted, and in addition there is also an active sailing dinghy handicap fleet. The club calendar gives all the details of our sailing programme throughout the year.

Besides sailing, the club holds a variety of social events, connected with its activities. Members are kept up to date through a newsletter published quarterly and a 3-weekly ebulletin. We also have a Facebook page and a YouTube channel.
