Littleton Sailing Club enjoys exclusive use of a picturesque lake of some 80 acres between Shepperton and Chertsey. There are about 500 members in total. Littleton Sailing Club was officially opened in June 1958 and was the Civil Service Sailing Association’s first active club. Membership is not restricted to Civil Service Sailing Association members only. Non-Civil Servants may apply to join Littleton Lake Sailing Club, or may be able to join the Civil Service Sailing Association as a linked member.
There is club racing at weekends throughout the year and on Thursday evenings during the summer months. Members can also cruise, or take part in our informally run improver sessions on Wednesday evenings during the summer. Adopted dinghy classes are Solos, Lasers, Optimists and sailboards. Stand up paddleboarding is permitted, and in addition there is also an active sailing dinghy handicap fleet. The club calendar gives all the details of our sailing programme throughout the year.
Besides sailing, the club holds a variety of social events, connected with its activities. Members are kept up to date through a newsletter published quarterly and a 3-weekly ebulletin. We also have a Facebook page and a You Tube channel.
