Social Events

The club has a professionally staffed galley, providing a selection of hot and cold food whenever we have sailing scheduled. We also have a well appointed bar, which is the focal point for most of our club social events.

Our Social Committee organises a variety of social events throughout the year, to cater for all tastes. We may start the year with a Burns Night in January, followed by the ever popular Quiz Night with Fish & Chip Supper in the early Spring. During the Summer months we can always find an excuse to run a BBQ or two and then in the Autumn we might hold a Skittles Night.

Additionally from May to August there is a Thursday evening race series – the Twilight Series. During the series there is hot food available after racing and the bar is also open.

The winter months are the time we might put on a talk or two. The topics are wide ranging from, visiting speakers from the RNLI or perhaps an RYA race coach, to members who have unique sailing experiences to share, to racing rules sessions for those wanting to improve their racing knowledge.

We have held a variety of Christmas celebrations over the years from traditional Christmas parties with a band or disco, to carol singing evenings, Christmas lunch, or informal socials with mulled wine and mince pies.

The Juniors have their own social events, including BBQs, Pirate Day and film night.

To find out what’s on keep an eye on the Littleton Scene magazine, the 3 weekly issued E-Bulletin, the home page of this website, and posters around the club. Social events are also posted on the club calendar when they are announced and they are also usually added to the club’s Facebook page.

If you have questions about any of our social events or suggestions for new events then contact the Social Committee.

If you are a member of the club or an associated club and wish to reserve a room or the venue for a meeting or private function, pleaseĀ complete the booking form.
