May 17 Covid-19 Update

With the Government Guidelines relaxing on Monday (17th)  allowing more indoor activities, we can relax the use of the clubhouse slightly.  People can now sit indoors but the rule of 6 or 2 households on any one table applies.

  • We have new caterers starting on Saturday 22nd so the galley will be open on Saturdays and Sundays.  Elle and Keeley and keen to start so please be sure to introduce yourself to them when you see them.  Timing of their opening will be announced as the new team develop their offering to us.
  • The ground floor entry is now via either door i.e.no longer a ground floor one-way system. Please don’t linger in the lobby, and be aware of other people, keeping your distance.
  • There will be a one-way system to access the galley.  Please use the internal stairs to go up and then exit via the balcony and outside steps.
  • Inside tables are available but these will be limited, so please follow the rule of 6 or 2 households at any single table if you sit inside.
  • The bar area can now be opened and subject to that, open drinks can be purchased.  The same rule of 6 per table will need to be observed as well.
  • 2 handed sailing for people from different households is now permitted. Please minimise prolonged (very) close proximity.
  • The changing rooms are open. Please keep your distance and change quickly to minimise numbers. Please continue to change at home if possible.
  • If you hire a club boat, then only one family or bubble to use the boat on that day. Washdown buckets are available if you want to use these but it is no longer a requirement to wash down.
  • Do not come to the club if you have symptoms, get a test.
  • The club will continue to monitor the situation and make appropriate alterations as further changes in the guidelines develop.  This could be either way!
