Summer Dinghy Sailing Tasters 2021

Get onto the water for a 1 hour dinghy sailing taster at Littleton Sailing Club in Shepperton.

If you have ever wanted to try sailing, or you are wondering if you would like to join our club, then this is your chance to come and experience our hospitality and facilities, and to get out on the water for a first hand experience.

You will set sail in one of our 2-person training boats, with an experienced club sailor at the helm who will show you the ropes and even let you take the helm if the weather is suitable.

If you decide you’d like to learn to sail, then talk to us about membership options and the RYA courses that we run at the club

To book onto one of our dinghy sailing taster sessions click on one of the dates below and follow the instructions.

FAQs

Wear suitable warm clothing, waterproof trousers and top, and trainers. Should you have a wetsuit and neoprene boots then that would also be an option, though certainly not essential. Buoyancy aids will be worn whilst on the water, so if you have one bring it with you, otherwise we will provide you with one on the day. Bring a change of clothes and a towel just in case you get wet. We have hot showers if you should need to warm up after your sail.

This event is limited to a small number of people to ensure social distancing can be maintained. All visitors to our club are expected to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines whilst on site. For the latest information around restrictions in place at Littleton Sailing Club please refer to our current sailing activities page.

Feel free to email us any questions using the contact form.

The best way of getting to the club is by car. There is plenty of parking on site. Alternatively the nearest train station is Shepperton. We would recommend you take a taxi/bicycle from the station to the club. Otherwise it is a healthy 35-minute walk.
